2025 Summer Meetup Overview
The Summer Meetup History
Welcome to the Summer Meetup, an event that has evolved significantly since its humble beginnings! Initially it began as a casual gathering for Tesla and EV enthusiasts to get together and share their experiences, showcasing their remarkable cars and exchanging stories about their adventures on the road. Over time, this intimate event has grown tremendously in popularity, leading to a larger venue that can accommodate more attendees and hosted the largest light show in Michigan. As we look ahead to 2025 we are thrilled to announce the introduction of Tech Day, a new dynamic addition to the Summer Meetup. This initiative is a passion project aimed at inspiring and guiding young people, helping them develop an appreciation for STEM and STEAM fields. We believe that engaging with these activities can pave the way for the next generation to create groundbreaking innovations, whether it be launching rockets into space or discovering new treatments for illnesses. In our quest to make Tech Day a reality, we are proud to partner with CC-Entertainment and their Celebration of Service event. Their commitment to promoting STEM and STEAM initiatives aligns perfectly with our mission, and together we also honor and support our veterans as well as first responders. Join us on this exciting journey as we inspire the innovators of tomorrow!

Bearded Tesla Guy
What started as a fun side hobby turned into something bigger than I could have ever imagined. We bought our first Tesla, a Model Y, in April of 2020, right before the whole country shut down due to COVID. Because of this, we had one of the very few Model Y’s on the road, which gave me an opportunity to grow on YouTube beyond my wildest dreams. I grew up working on cars and come from 4 generations dedicating their lives to the Automotive industry. After graduating from Purdue University, I was blessed with a successful career, and in March of 2023, I was able to take a leap of faith and go full time on YouTube. I am so blessed to be able to do what I love every day thanks to an amazing community that has supported me along the way. In 2024 I invited my good friends Nancy, Rafael and Gary to join me on an epic journey all the way to the northernmost road to the Arctic Ocean. We set out to prove this is the age of EV’s and successfully traversed otherworldly landscapes all the way to the Arctic, installing Level 2 chargers along the way. The only question left to answer is, how can I do something even more epic next?

Jan Vogel
TeslaFix
I'm Jan Vogel, a passionate Communication Designer and Content Creator located in Germany, whose work in Marketing and Video Production led to a master's thesis comparing Tesla's innovative culture with VW's traditional approach. The creation of my podcast TeslaFix, was a natural extension of my thesis work, initiated by an enlightening interview with former Tesla employee and influencer Farzad Mesbahi. My goal is to weave together voices from the Tesla community, showcasing the company's culture, innovations and the spirit that drives it forward. From its inception, the focus of Tesla was on an American audience, designed to provide fresh European insights into Tesla, to bridge the cultural and informational gap across the Atlantic. My vision is to enrich the American understanding of Tesla with diverse European viewpoints and experiences. I want to offer a global perspective on Tesla's impact and the cultural contexts it operates within. As TeslaFix grows, I remain committed to fostering a community of critical thinkers and sustainability advocates, hoping to inspire broader conversations about electric vehicles, sustainable practices and the transformative potential of Tesla in creating a greener, more sustainable world.
